Hans Mattheeuws startte zijn carrière als finance & administration manager bij Campina, waarna hij als finance director aan de slag ging bij Wymar International. Later werd hij group controller bij moederbedrijf Tessenderlo Group, waar hij vervolgens benoemd werd tot group director Controlling, Consolidation & Accounting was. In augustus 2011 startte hij als chief financial officer bij INEOS ChlorVinyls.

Hans Mattheeuws is licentiaat in de Economische Wetenschappen en behaalde een MBA & Master in Controllership aan de Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School.
